The New York Yankees recently announced that they would be retiring the #2 of former shortstop Derek Jeter. A Bronx mainstay from 1996 to 2014, Jeter holds countless Yankee records. He finished his career with 3,465 hits and a stellar .310 batting average. Jeter made 14 All-Star teams over his 20-year career and is a surefire first ballot Hall of Famer. Jeter signed the barrel of this miniature bat in black Sharpie, inscribing “ROY 96” under his signature. This commemorative bat is engraved with black text reading “1996 World Champions New York Yankees” and features an engraved Yankee logo on the barrel. This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (AB08716).
