Offered is a Dizzy Dean signature on a softball.  The Hall of Fame pitcher has signed his name, “Dizzy Dean” in black ink to the right of the “Official Indoor-Outdoor The Protex Seam” stamped logo of the “Rawlings American Soft Ball Association Geo. Sisler Pres.” ball.  This item is accompanied by the original box, unfolded; parts of the cardboard box are flaking.  Jay Hanna "Dizzy" Dean played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, and St. Louis Browns. A brash and colorful personality, Dean was best known for winning 30 games in the 1934 season (the last National League pitcher to do so) while leading the 1934 "Gashouse Gang" St. Louis team to the National League pennant and the World Series win over the Detroit Tigers. He had a 30–7 record with a 2.66 ERA during the regular season. Dean was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1953. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
