For only the third time in the history of the United States, the President of the United States was formally impeached by the United States House of Representatives. Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, joined former presidents Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton as the only presidents in US history to be impeached, when on December 18, 2019, two articles of impeachment were voted on by the full House of Representatives. The first count – Abuse of Power, was passed the House along mostly party lines 230-197, while the second count – Obstruction of Congress, also yielded another party line vote of 229-198. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii voted “present” on both counts.

Offered here is a 9-page section titled “House Calendar No. 61 116th CONGRESS 1st SESSION H. RES. 755 (Report No. 116-436).” This is the Resolution document that outlines the two charges brought by the House of Representatives – Article 1: Abuse of Power (page 2) and Article II: Obstruction of Justice (page 5). The impeachment process began and was conducted by the House Judiciary Committee and presented to the entire membership of Congress. President Trump would be formally impeached by Congress but was acquitted by the Senate. President Trump has signed his name in black marker across the first page. Earlier this year, Goldin Auctions offered the Trump signed cover page only of the House Judiciary Committee’s impeachment—it achieved $81,000 and a virtually identical piece sold at Sotheby's in September for $37,500. This comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
