Duke Snider was a key part of the Brooklyn Dodgers Golden Generation who, along with players like Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, and Gil Hodges, helped lead the Dodgers to six World Series appearances from 1949 to 1959. The Dodgers won in 1955, their only championship in Brooklyn, and again in 1959 as the recently christened Los Angeles Dodgers. Snider, a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, was an exceptional playoff player, smashing 11 World Series home runs and collecting 26 playoff RBI. This jersey, a blank-backed Dodgers home jersey, features a black marker signature from Snider and a lengthy inscription. The inscription reads “2x WS Champs 55-59 / 36 WS Games / 11 WS HR’s / 38 WS HITS / 21 WS RUNS / 26 WS RBI’S / 2x WS 4 HR’S 52-55”. This jersey, which has “Dodgers” sewn across the front in blue tackle twill, comes with a COA from Mounted Memories.
