After an incredible military career five-star General Dwight Eisenhower was elected president of the United States in 1953.  Following up a successful first campaign Eisenhower was re-elected to serve a second term.  He held his inauguration on January 20, 1957 and had given one of the most impressive Presidential Inauguration celebratory mementos we have seen.

The oversized Lucite paperweight presents more like a celebratory trophy than anything in celebration of Dwight Eisenhower’s second successful presidential election.  The piece consists of a large bronze coin that shows the busts of Eisenhower and Richard Nixon with the date of the event.  One the reverse of the coin both President and Vice Presidents names have been engraved.   The coin is encased in an elegant Lucite holder with a card with the Presidential Seal similar in size to a business card that reads, “To Steve and Ann Martini” which has been signed in bold black ink by Eisenhower.  The signature has been authenticated and graded a perfect 10 by Beckett authentication services and comes with a LOA. The keepsake was a gift to the Martini’s in commemoration of Dwight Eisenhower’s second inauguration and comes with a letter of provenance from the son of Steve Martini, who was the White House Barber and personal barber to Dwight Eisenhower.
