Presented here is a black and white photograph autographed and inscribed by America’s longest serving president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. America’s 32nd President, Roosevelt emerged victorious from four presidential elections and successfully pulled the United States out of the biggest financial disaster in the nation’s history. The leader of the United States during World War II, Roosevelt’s shrewd strategic planning and cunning political acumen was a key factor in the United States victories in Europe and Japan.
Roosevelt is pictured here wearing a dark colored suit and a tan hat. He is shaking hands with Vice President John Nance Garner. Roosevelt signed this 8 x 9 inch black and white photograph, which resides in a 14 x 15 inch frame, in black pen. He added the inscription “To John Mulholland / From Franklin D. Roosevelt”. Additionally, a lengthy inscription is penned by Vice President Garner, who also signed this photograph, above Roosevelt’s inscription and signature. Due to the way the photograph is framed, portions of this inscription are obscured. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A03410).
