Presented is a Gleyber Torres signature on a Marucci Bone-Rubbed JS68-S Pro Model cupped baseball bat. The New York Yankees shortstop and second baseman has signed his name in silver marker on the sweet spot of the barrel on the brown and black lacquered wood bat, which is embossed “Handcrafted for Gleyber Torres” in gold at the end of the barrel. Torres made his Major League Baseball debut with the Yankees on April 22, 2018, and is a two-time MLB All-Star (2018, 2019). On August 22, 2019, Torres hit his 30th home run of the season, becoming the second Yankee to hit 30 or more home runs in a single season at age of 22 or younger, joining Joe DiMaggio, who hit 46 home runs in 1937. His 39 home runs made him the second ever middle infielder after Alex Rodriguez to do so before turning 23, and third Yankees player since DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle to hit at least two 20+ HR seasons before the age of 23.
