June Premium Card and Memorabilia auction ending June 26-27
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2021
This lot closes on June 27, 2021 at 10:00 PM EDT for initial bids. Presented here are a pair of baseballs signed by two of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, Joe Montana and Dan Marino. One could only assume that Joe Montana, arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time and owner of four Super Bowl titles, would have been pretty decent at delivering a baseball professionally. Montana’s ties to America’s Pastime only date to his days as a scholastic player at Ringgold High School in Pennsylvania. Named to the NFL’s 100 All-Time Team as one of the 10 greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, Dan Marino shattered NFL records during his 17-year career with the Miami Dolphins. Marino held over 40 single season NFL records at the time of his retirement and was the first quarterback in NFL history to reach 50,000 and 60,000 career passing yards, as well as the first quarterback to reach 400 career passing touchdowns. Named the NFL MVP in 1984, Marino was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection, and led the Dolphins to 10 postseason appearances during his highlight-filled career.
