One of five original members selected to baseball’s inaugural Hall of Fame class, Honus Wagner will forever hold a prominent place in the history of America’s Pastime. The “Flying Dutchman” played 21 seasons (1897-1917) and is widely considered the greatest shortstop of all time. Wagner won eight batting titles and led the league in stolen bases five times as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates. This 10x13 ½-inch framed display shows a rendering of Wagner clutching a bat in a white Pittsburgh uniform. Wagner signed the display on a 3 ¾-inch cut in below his image. The signature, penned in black fountain ink, shows a slight run on the “e” in Wagner’s last name. This is an iconic piece linked to one of baseball’s most recognizable legends. The signed display is accompanied by a JSA LOA.
