Former pitcher Joe Black made his Major League debut in 1952 at the age of 28, five years after Jackie Robinson broke the “Color Barrier”. Black posted a 15-4 record, with a 2.15 ERA and 15 saves and was named the National League Rookie of the Year in 1952. Black would appear in two consecutive World Series in 1952 and 1953. Black signed his name in blue pen across the sweet spot of this Official National League A. Bartlett Giamatti baseball. The ball is in excellent condition, displaying only the slightest bit of toning. This signed baseball comes with a COA from Finest Sports Collectibles (026612).
