Joe Pepitone is pictured here playing stickball on the streets of New York, a favorite activity from his childhood. Pepitone inscribed on this 16 x 20 inch black and white photograph “1963 was my official rookie year and first full season in pinstripes. They traded Yankee legend Moose Skowron to the Dodgers to make room for me. I was the only New York Yankee to start the 1963 All Star Game in Cleveland. Coincidentally we met up with Moose in the 63 Series. They swept us. Through my childhood I always was passionate about stickball. When Look Magazine did a story about the Million Dollar Infield they wanted to use my classic stickball swing. The rest is history!” Pepitone signed his name and wrote the inscription on this photograph in silver marker. This item comes with a COA from Steiner Sports and a Fanatics Authenticated hologram (0542602).
