As the only major league pitcher in history to throw two consecutive no-hitters, Vander Meer certainly earned the moniker “Double No-Hit.” Interestingly, after the back to back gems, the Cincinnati Reds wanted him to change his jersey number to “00.” Vander Meer declined. This very slightly off-white ONL Bill White baseball has been signed “Johnny Vander Meer 6/11/38 6/15/38” in blue ink on the sweet spot, grading a (“9”).
