Offered in this lot is a production pair of black Adidas “The Kobe” sneakers, including one shoe signed by the Black Mamba himself! A fearsome scorer and tenacious competitor, Bryant thrived at the top of the NBA food chain for 20 seasons after his selection in the first round of the 1996 NBA Draft. The preps-to-pros hooper from Philadelphia’s Lower Merion High School won five titles with the Lakers and earned 18 NBA All-Star Game selections. Bryant retired after the 2016 season with 33,643 career points and was posthumously inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020. The sneakers offered in this lot are black Adidas “The Kobe” sneakers with Bryant has signed the outside heel of the left size 9 sneaker in silver marker, inscribing his early career number “8” in addition to his signature.
