Offered in this lot is an official game basketball Spalding synthetic “New Ball” signed by Kobe Bryant and featuring a laser engraved Kobe Bryant logo. The “New Ball”, introduced at the start of the 2006 season, was a brief and disastrous phenomenon in the modern NBA, ending with David Stern ignominiously returning to the previous leather Spalding basketball during the regular season. Bryant has signed this Spalding basketball in black marker next to his engraved logo. This basketball is a limited-edition 90 of 124, and it comes with a COA from Upper Deck (BAK03133) and STICKER ONLY from Steiner Sports.
