       Upon Larry Bird’s retirement from the NBA in 1992, Larry Bird’s Boston Connection Hotel, Restaurant and Lounge in Terre Haute, IN produced a “Larry Bird Retirement Envelope.” The envelopes were postmarked August 18, 1992 at the French Lick, IN post office, to commemorate the date Bird announced his retirement. This framed display includes an 8X10 photo of Bird mid-shot, matted above one of these postmarked Retirement envelopes, which has been signed by Bird dead center in thick black marker. The envelope includes a hand-written limited edition of 871/1000. Both envelope and photo are matted in a 24 X 17 inch black frame. This item comes with a COA from JSA (P00240).
