Before embarking on his professional career with the Boston Celtics, Larry Bird set NCAA basketball alight for the Indiana State University Sycamores in the late 1970’s. Bird averaged 30.3 points and 13.3 rebounds per game across his three seasons for the Sycamores, winning just about every collegiate award during his final season in 1978-79.
Offered is a hard-cover copy of the 1978 Sycamore Yearbook. The yearbook has an image of Bird during a game on the cover. Bird is holding the rock above his head, scoping out a pass over the top of his defender. Bird has signed the cover of this yearbook in green marker. This item comes with a COA from JSA (U86315).
