This intriguing late 19th century 33-inch, 40-ounce bat is very thick up the entire bat, even the handle! The “knob” is rounded and tapered at the end, without a true knob. The label is boldly stamped with “McClurg’s PENNANT” highlighting the vintage highly prized 19th century bat. This type of lumber was highly coveted by the “strikers” of the era due its heavy weight and is a rarely seen example.
