In 2003, LeBron James was the most highly sought-after high school basketball recruit of all time. Playing for the Fighting Irish of St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School in Akron, he was named Ohio’s “Mr. Basketball” award winner for three consecutive years and won the Gatorade National High School Player of the Year award following his junior and senior seasons. He was selected No. 1 overall in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’s now a four-time league MVP in the NBA. This authentic St. Vincent-St. Mary’s No. 23 uniform (size XXL) is thought to have been worn by LeBron during the 2002-03 Senior season. In his senior season, LeBron averaged 31.6 points per game, 9.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.4 steals per game. Specific item evaluation on its authenticity yields a 9.5 out of 10 score. The .5 is deducted from a perfect example based on the fact that there is no letter indicating its game-worn authenticity from LeBron, his coach or the school. The lot includes the jersey and shorts, as well as two T-shirts commemorating the team’s National High School Championship in 2003, and 4 High School Yearbooks. Comes with an LOA from game worn expert Dave Miedema. Multiple images and LOA available at goldinauctions.com.
