The former Argentinos Juniors youth product won his lone domestic title in Argentina with Boca Juniors in 1981, and earned the undying adulation of the Partenopei by leading Napoli to their only two Serie A titles in 1986-87 and 1989-90. The prolific goalscorer claimed his lone FIFA World Cup title in 1986, earning the tournament’s Golden Ball award after scoring Argentina’s only goals in a 2-1 win over England in the quarterfinals, and their 2-0 win over Belgium in the penultimate match.
