This extremely rare display piece contains 12 cards from Goudey's 1934 Canadian World Wide Gum series. Uncut sheet portions from such desirable 1930's issues as this one are seldom seen, and most known examples are permanently housed in advanced collections. On the offered sheet, the fully printed cards are arranged in a 3-card-by-4-card rectangle constituting a colorful gallery of baseball glory. Twelve different numbers are present (#'s 52-54, 58-60, 64-66 and 70-72), and Hall of Famers Bill Terry, Lefty Grove, Jimmy Foxx, Mickey Cochrane, Frank Frisch, Carl Hubbell and Arky Vaughan are among their subjects. The 11-1/4" x 8" sheet has a full border at the right side, and its top, bottom and left margins have been somewhat irregularly cropped. Production faults along with subsequent evidence of circulation have induced creases and stains (most significantly at the top and right aspects), but the player images in the lower three-fourths of the panel are essentially unimpaired. Overall presentation quality is about GD/VG. This is an exceptionally meaningful factory relic, and one that offers unbelievable vintage star power.
