Just how special was Miguel Cabrera's 2012 season? The Detroit Tigers' third baseman became the first player since Boston Carl Yastrzemski in 1967 to achieve Major League Baseball's elusive Triple Crown award. Cabrera posted a .330 batting average with 44 home runs and 139 RBI that season to earn the feat. Offered here is a size 7 3/8 navy Rawlings Detroit Tigers road batting helmet worn by Miguel Cabrera circa 2012 and signed by the Triple Crown winner. The helmet features the old English "D" Detroit logo in orange on the front of this right-handed helmet. Cabrera's number "24" in orange and white and an MLB logo appear on the back of the helmet. The inside of the helmet contains intact padding and a leather sweatband. A circular Rawlings "R" sticker and a size "7 3/8" sticker are affixed to the inside of the helmet. Cabrera signed and inscribed the number "24" with a silver metallic paint pen on the helmet's brim. The signature and inscription are bold and clear. The helmet displays excellent evidence of game use and contains numerous scuff marks and scratches across the entirety of the helmet and a large brown stain on the back of the helmet. The item comes with an LOA from J.T. Sports (1230) for the game use and a COA from Beckett Authentication (Y81391) for the signature.
