Former Los Angeles Angels slugger Albert Pujols used this Marucci AP5P-LDM model bat during the September 1st, 2019 game against the Boston Red Sox at Angels Stadium where he connected on an RBI ground-rule double in the bottom of the third inning. Pujols’ 18th double of the season came off of Red Sox pitcher Travis Lakins and scored Mike Trout, while sending Brian Goodwin to third base as the Angels got on the board. Pujols’ bat displays excellent game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. The upper handle has a coating of pine tar and the knob has Pujols’ number “5” stamped in black. Pujols has signed this bat in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “Game Used 2019”. Please note that Pujols’ inscription “Game Used” was signed over a scratch on the barrel, thus slightly effecting the inscription. This bat comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (VS023830), authenticating that this bat was used for the third-inning RBI ground-rule double on September 1st, 2019, plus a STICKER ONLY from Beckett Authentication (P61559) for the signature and inscription.
