Presented here is a game used bat swung by Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt that has been dated to the 1974-1978 seasons. Schmidt, the three-time National League MVP, averaged 34 home runs and 99 RBI during those five seasons and he helped lead Philadelphia to three-straight NL East Division titles. This Adirondack MS20 model bat displays excellent game use with a crack on the handle that has been repaired. There are ball marks, black ink transfers and red bat rack streaks present on the barrel. The bat’s model number “MS20” has been stamped on the knob, while Schmidt’s number “20” was handwritten in what is now faded black marker on the knob. Schmidt signed his name in black marker on the barrel to complete this prime-of-his career gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18242) for the game use and has been given a very high grade of GU 9.5, plus a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA13898) for Schmidt’s signature.
