Comics, Video Game & TCG Elite Auction Closing Sept 18

Encapsulated and graded 9.4 with a “First-Party H-Seam” seal rating of A+ by WATA Games. The video game history of Pokemon can be traced here – the September 1998 release of “Pokemon Red” and its counterpart “Pokemon Blue” for the handheld Nintendo Game Boy. We’ve seen many Pokemon games since, but not many remembered as fondly as these two. The two games sold a combined 31 million copies, making it the second-best-selling Game Boy game ever. It’s a landmark role-playing game, appreciated years later for many of the game’s concepts and gameplay.
This particular “Pokemon Red” copy is a first-print copy. The Pokemon Sandshrew appears in one of the gameplay photos on the backside, making this copy extremely rare. A “Made in Japan” label and a pixelated “E” rating label from the ESRB appear on this “100% Fiber, Double-ended” box. A rare first-print edition in near-perfect condition.
