Presented is a 240-card complete set of 1949 Bowman Baseball cards. Eleven cards have been graded by PSA or SGC. For its 1949 issue, Bowman made two major changes from the preceding year's black-and-white production. The company added color to team uniforms (while enhancing backgrounds with several different pastel shades), and expanded the set to a total of 240 cards. Boasting several Hall of Famer rookie cards and noted for its difficult high-series cards (numbers 145-240), the attractive 1949 Bowman product has always been a monumental challenge for collectors to assemble.
