After moving into their new modern Stadium, the New York Yankee team of 2009 performed the same as those Babe Ruth led Yankees of 1923 when they opened the original Yankee Stadium – they won a World Series Championship. After vanquishing the Philadelphia Phillies in a stirring six game series, the Yankee participants were presented with these beautiful rings.

The 2009 Yankee World Series ring is unquestionably one of the most striking and beautiful World Series Rings of all time. The face features a Yankee blue stone accented by a diamond clustered “NY” logo rising from a diamond lined base path, with four larger diamonds representing infield bases and home plate. The 14K white gold, size 13 ring boasts a staggering 95 diamonds, with total diamond weight of approx 2.50cttw. One shank has the name “CATALA” in raised relief above the Yankees Top Hat logo, with the word “TRADITION”. The other shank has “WORLD CHAMPIONS 2009 UNITY” with an image of the New Yankee Stadium. Inside the ring on one side are the markings “YANKEE STADIUM INAUGURAL SEASON 2009” with the inaugural season logo, with “BALFOUR 14K” stamped within. Ring weighs 49.2 grams. Venancio (Benny) Catala is a front office executive with the Yankees, in charge of their diversity programs. This was the final World Series title for George Steinbrenner, who would pass away a year later. Tremendous ring from the last World Series championship for the Core Four of Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada. Near Mint to Mint condition.
