The uniqueness of the 1976 Louisville Slugger bats makes them extremely desirable to bat collectors. The large burned image of the Liberty Bell/baseball bat combination on the sweet spot commemorates the 200th anniversary of the United States. This 35 inch, 29.6 ounce Thurman Munson S44 model bat is un-cracked with good use characteristics including some light ball and cleat marks. Munson’s number “15” is written on the knob and barrel end in black marker. His facsimile signature and all other stampings are boldly burned into the white ash, making this a great display piece and a highlight of any Major League or New York Yankee game used bat collection. This was also the year Munson won the American League Most Valuable Player award, helping lead the Yankee to their first World Series appearance in 12 seasons.
