Near the end of Babe Ruth’s life, he was a “consultant” with The Ford Motor Company, who was a big sponsor for American Legion Junior Baseball Leagues. Shortly before Ruth died, he was present in Iowa for the Junior World Series as part of his Ford Motor Company functions. This 5 x 6.5 inch promotional photo features Babe Ruth looking up after another big blast, with the caption below “CONSULTANT FORD MOTOR COMPANY AMERICAN LEAGUE JUNIOR BASEBALL”. The photo has been signed boldly in blue ink “To My Little Pal Mike Stainsbury From Babe Ruth 1947.” This photo has some peripheral issues including edge creases and various wrinkles.
