A collection of 12 different baseball player candy insert cards from the 1911 E90-1 American Caramel "Baseball Caramels" series is presented. One card has been encapsulated and authenticated by SGC. Offered here are a dozen player subjects from the always-elusive, impossibly delicate E90-1 production. Although the offered group contains several figures that are familiar to baseball historians – Wiltse, McIntyre, Barry and Hall of Famer George Davis – the entry that will demand the greatest measure of hobby attention is captioned, simply, "Mitchell r.f. Cincinnati." The short-printed card of Mike Mitchell (probably released very late in the production's run) is known far and wide for its excruciating rarity, and the piece appears on a majority of the want-lists pursued by the industry's most advanced "E-card" specialists. The array reflects generally PR to FR condition. The card of Mitchell – which has been assessed "Authentic" by SGC – reveals product staining and has been subjected to various wear-and-tear instances, but has maintained a quality illustration and substantively intact features.
