Albert Pujols entered the 2019 season at the age of 39 and continued to produce numbers that will make him a first ballot Hall of Famer. Pujols hit 23 home runs and drove in 93 as he continues his march to 700 home runs. During the August 14th, 2019 game against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates, Pujols used this Marucci SP5P-LDM model bat to hit a groundball single to right field in the bottom of the fourth inning to score Mike Trout. Pujols’ single came off Pirates pitcher Chris Archer. This offered bat displays excellent game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and bat rack streaks present on the barrel. The upper handle has a moderate coating of pine tar and the knob has Pujols’ number “5” stamped in black, along with the bat’s manufacture date “07/02/19” and length “4” and weight “2”. Pujols has signed this bat in bold silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “Game Used 2019”. This bat comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (VS023149) for the game use, authenticating that Pujols used this bat during the bottom of the fourth inning of the August 14th, 2019 game for a single and RBI. Additionally, there is a STICKER ONLY from Beckett Authentication (P61561) for Pujols’ signature and inscription.
