It was near the beginning of another baseball season (eventually another Yankee World Series championship!) when Babe Ruth signed and inscribed this famous image photo "To My Friend Bayard T. Horton From Babe Ruth 4-21-47." Dr. Horton was a world renowned physician, an expert of headaches and circulatory issues of the brain. The inscription and signature are bold, fountain pen beauties, as only the Babe could pen them! It was only 16 months later the Babe was gone. This is a familiar image, well known and one of the very popular posed images Ruth signed during his days, and one derives from his days on the set of his biopic “The Babe Ruth Story.” This original example measures 8 x 10 inches, contains a few light wrinkles, with a crisp image, and is professionally framed to a dimension of 18 x 17 inches.
