This first issue features the origin and first appearance of Despero, a powerful D.C. villain that would often battle the Justice League – including Batman and Superman, among others. In this #1 issue, The Flash is the hero that must defeat Despero in a strange chess-like game to save the other members of the Justice League and the people of Despero's home dimension, Kalanor. This issue was released in November of 1960 with a 10 cent cover price Copy graded 5.0 by CGC.
