The game is a remake of “Pokemon Red” and was released in North America on September 9, 2004, and is the companion game to “Pokemon LeafGreen.” The game featuring turn-based battles and an overhead perspective introduced new features while adhering to the traditional gameplay that made the series successful. “Pokemon FireRed” and “LeafGreen” sold a total of 12 million copies worldwide and are a beloved entry into the “Pokemon” franchise that persists today.
