Offered here is a ticket stub from the 1979 NCAA Basketball Championship game between Michigan State and Indiana State held on March 36, 1979. This important keepsake represents the introduction of two young men destined to define professional basketball for a generation. Michigan State's Magic Johnson and Indiana State's Larry Bird saw their famous rivalry commence at the 1979 Men's Division I Basketball Tournament Finals on March 26, 1979 at the University of Utah's Sports and Special Events Center. The head-to-head between the teams led by the two future Hall of Famers resulted in a 75-64 victory for Johnson's Michigan squad. A seldom-seen stub from a very significant contest! The ticket stub comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (59178464) and is graded VG 3 (MK).
