Hector “Macho” Camacho was once one of the most feared and dominating boxers during the 1980s and early 1990s, winning world championships in three separate weight classes. Camacho held the WBC super featherweight title from 1983-84, the WBC lightweight title from 1985-1987, and the WBO Junior welterweight title twice from 1989-1992. The southpaw was noted for his quickness in the ring and flamboyant attire that was matched by his wonderous abilities in the ring. Camacho faced off against Chris Walsh on April 18th, 2003 at the RBC Center in Raleigh, and lost by split decision after the fight was stopped by a fight doctor after the sixth round. These presented six-button red mesh Carolina Hurricanes shirts were worn by Camacho’s cornermen during the fight. The shirts feature “CAROLINA HURRICANES” screen printed in black and white with a paraph across the front of the shirts. Majestic size “L” and “M” tags are attached to the inside collar. “MACHO TIME” is screen-printed across the back of the shirts in black with silver trim. The shirts feature a “MAJESTIC” logo screen-printed on the right sleeve of each shirt. The size “M” shirt features a stain on the right front tail and some staining under the armpits. There are stains under the armpits and a stain on the right front tail of the size “L” shirt. The entire lot of two Carolina Hurricanes shirts worn by Camacho’s cornermen during his April 18th, 2003 split decision loss to Chris Walsh comes directly from one of Camacho’s former managers with a corresponding letter of provenance that will be included.
