December Card & Memorabilia Auction Dec 9 - 18/19
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/18/2022
Known as much for his quickness in the ring as he was for his flamboyant style that married bright colors with the masculine couture of boxing, Hector “Macho” Camacho extended his sense of style to his cornermen. Camacho had already dispatched Roberto Duran during their first meeting on June 16th, 1996, with Camacho winning by decision. The two would meet again at the Pepsi Center in Denver on July 14th, 2001, and Camacho would again emerge victorious against the feared pugilist Duran, capturing the Super Middleweight Championship belt. Camacho’s cornermen wore this presented silver zip-up jacket with black accents during his second fight against Duran. “MACHO TIME” appears across the chest in black tackle twill on a white and red metallic background. The front pockets of the jacket feature metallic silver trim. “CAMACHO” appears across the back of the jacket in black tackle twill on a metallic red and white fabric. The jacket is in excellent condition and comes directly from one of Camacho’s former managers with a corresponding letter of provenance that will be included.
