Former Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Steve Sax was the 1982 National League Rookie of the Year. Sax would follow up his 1982 season with another strong campaign in 1983 as he appeared in 155 games, where he batted a solid .281 with 175 hits. This offered size 40 jersey was worn by Sax in 1983 and manufactured by W.A. Goodman & Sons. The front has “Dodgers” and a paraph sewn on in cursive script blue Dodger-twill over white tackle twill. Sax’s number “3” is sewn on the front left in red tackle twill. The back has “3” and “S. SAX” sewn on in royal blue Dodger-twill over white hand-cut tackle twill. Each sleeve has a white/blue/white band on the ends and the left sleeve has the “LOS ANGELES Dodgers 25th ANNIVERSARY 1958 1983” patch. The Goodman tag is sewn on the inside back collar. This jersey displays excellent use and is in good condition, showing signs of repeated washing with softening of the fabric, while all of the letters and numbers are original to the jersey and no alterations. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used baseball jersey expert William Henderson (21-0821J01) for the game use.
