Presented is a Babe Ruth signed and handwritten personal check from Chemical Bank & Trust in a 12 ½ x 17-inch framed collage. The Hall of Fame New York Yankees slugger has signed his name in black fountain pen “G. H. Ruth” in the lower right corner of the 3 x 8-inch white paper check from the personal account of “Babe Ruth” (printed vertically in black on the left margin). “The Bambino” has inscribed the date, “Oct 20 (19) 38” in black fountain pen in the upper right corner, made payable to “Cash” in his handwriting for “($)50.00/100”, with “Fifty---00/100” in script on the second line of the New York City bank’s printed check. The check has “PAID 10 20 38” punch codes across the front. The Ruth-signed and inscribed check is matted in a framed display with a pink background and a black and white photograph of Ruth in his Yankees’ pinstriped uniform holding a bat while seated and a plate below that reads “Presented to TEIJIN LIMITED by John Weitz – September 1980”. This comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AB09404) for Ruth’s signature.
