Still regarded in many circles as the greatest quarterback of all time, Joe Montana put together a résumé --- particularly in the postseason --- that will be hard to match for any signal caller. Four times a Super Bowl champion and three times the game’s MVP, Montana’s playoff heroics set him apart from the rest of the field. After leaving the San Francisco 49ers, the Hall of Fame quarterback joined the Kansas City Chiefs for his final two seasons in 1993 and 1994 and led the Chiefs to consecutive playoff appearances, including an AFC West title in 1993. Presented here are a pair of LA Tech cleats worn by Montana during his final two seasons in the NFL in 1993 and 1994. These cleats are an approximate size 10 or 10 ½ and are white with red accents. Made of a combination of leather and mesh, these cleats display heavy game use and have Montana’s number “19” embroidered in red on the heels. Also on the heels is the LA TECH logo, which is also embroidered in red and yellow. The soles have seven red molded rubber spikes on each shoe. Montana has signed each cleat in black marker on the outside toe area. These come with a LOA from MEARS (318156) for the game use and individual LOAs from Beckett Authentication (AB09087 & AB09088) for the signatures.
