The 1959 squad finished in third place of the American League with a 79-75 record, trailing the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians. “SPALDING 101 HORSEHIDE COVER” is stamped in black on the west panel. “SPEED-FLITE CENTER YARN WOUND” and a Spalding “S” are stamped in black on the east panel. The baseball features 23 signatures from the 1960 New York Yankees team with key signatures from Hall of Famer Yogi Berra, Roger Maris, Elston Howard, Duke Maas, John Blanchard, Jim Pisoni, Jim Coates, Art Ditmar, Tony Kubek, Bobby Shantz, Eddie Lopat. The signatures were signed in blue ink and are bold, and the baseball contains heavy elements of toning. This comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA13271) for the signatures and deemed the signatures of Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford clubhouse versions.
