Graded GEM MINT 9.5 by BGS. Shown here is the earliest professional trading card of Tony Gwynn, the only minor-league issued card from his illustrious career. The Hawaii Islanders were a Triple-A affiliate of the Padres. The card showcases Tony Gwynn in a posed color photo as though he were looking toward the batter ready for the next pitch. Of the 84 examples reviewed by BGS, only three have earned this remarkable grading tier – with none grading higher. Gem Mint condition.
