Nick Swisher celebrated his first summer in Yankees pinstripes by belting 29 home runs and driving in 82 runs for the pennant-bound New Yorkers. Swisher’s big bat and gregarious personality was just what the Yankees needed as the club cruised to their 27th World Championship. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a heavy coating of pine tar on the lower barrel and the lower handle has been taped in a criss-cross pattern to enhance the grip. The bat’s manufacture date “859 has been stamped on the knob. Swisher has signed the barrel of this bat in black marker and inscribed “Game Used” below his signature. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B02600) for the game use and has been given the highest grade of GU 10. Additionally, there is a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AB09428) for the signature and inscription.
