Former Major League player Rico Carty spent 15 years in the big leagues with six different organizations. Carty spent the first part of his career with the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves. Offered here is an Adirondack 331V model bat ordered by Carty in 1968 and most likely used in 1969. Carty missed the entire 1968 season recovering from Tuberculosis. This bat displays excellent game use with a crack on the handle that has been secured by glue. There is checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel that has also been secured with glue. The center brand has a light coating of pine tar and the bat’s model number “331V” is stamped on the knob. Another player’s number “16” is handwritten on the knob in green. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16880) for the game use.
