The 2001 season saw Fred McGriff split time between the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Chicago Cubs, where he combined to hit 31 home runs, had 102 RBI and batted a solid .306 – all at the age of 37. Presented here is a Louisville Slugger C271 model bat that was used by McGriff during the 2001 season. This bat displays light game use and is un-cracked. There are some ball marks and white leather scuffs present on the barrel and McGriff’s number “29” is handwritten on the knob in black marker and on the top barrel in gold marker. McGriff has signed this TAMPA BAY DEVIL RAYS stamped bat in gold marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B26109) for the game use and has been given a high grade of GU 8, plus a LOA from JSA (XX19520) for the signature.
