Presented is a 1988 Lou Holtz team-issued Notre Dame Cotton Bowl windbreaker. The navy with yellow-gold accents Champion windbreaker, size XL, features a white cloth circular patch on the left shoulder, embroidered with caption "Cotton Bowl 1988" in yellow-gold letters, with the green "Cotton Bowl" logo and a yellow-gold "ND" in the center of the cotton boll. The windbreaker has yellow-gold patches on both shoulders, that extend to a bib that goes halfway down the back. The hood is navy with yellow-gold lining. The 1988 Cotton Bowl Classic was played on January 1, 1988 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The game featured the Notre Dame Fighting Irish versus the Texas A&M Aggies. Played in front of 73,006 people, Texas A&M won the game by a final score of 35-10. This was the final Cotton Bowl played without a sponsor for the game. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
