Offered is the 2008 Lou Holtz election certificate to the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. The white parchment certificate features the calligraphic headline "National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame" across the top in black, above a black and white photograph of Holtz in a dark suit coat, white shirt and dark tie. The photo is centered among six classic Greek columns illustrated in black. Below the photo is the calligraphic legend "Lou Holtz" also in black. Below the caption is the legend, also in black calligraphy, "The College of William & Mary, 1969-71 North Carolina State University, 1972-75 University of Arkansas, 1977-83 University of Minnesota, 1984-85 University of Notre Dame, 1986-96 University of South Carolina, 1999-2004 Record: 249-132-7". Below Holtz's collegiate coaching career record is his formal induction into the College Hall of Fame, noted as "Inducted 2008" and signed by Eugene Corrigan and Archie Manning in black pen. The certificate is displayed in a 17 x 23 1/2-inch gold and white wood with glass frame. Please note that the brown paper backing on the framed certificate is torn in the upper right and the lower right, but otherwise intact. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
