Presented is Lou Holtz's 1996 Johnny Vaught Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the All-American Football Foundation. The clear-lacquered brown wood with white certificate, with red, blue and gold accents, features a stylized blue football in the upper left center, with the legend "All-American Football Foundation 1996 Johnny Vaught Lifetime Achievement Award to Lou Holtz William & Mary, N.C. State, Arkansas, Minnesota, Notre Dame for Your Outstanding Performance in Your Chosen Profession Presented December 4, 1996". Holtz retired from the University of Notre Dame after the end of the 1996 college football season, but "un-retired" in 1999 to take over the University of South Carolina program until 2004. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
