Offered is an original 1993 painting by Pro and College Football Hall of Famer Tommy McDonald of college coach Lou Holtz, presented to Holtz as "Big Brother of the Year". The 23 x 27-inch color oil painting depicts Holtz in profile from the left, wearing a Navy-blue cap with the gold "ND" logo on the front, and a Navy blue coat with the "ND" logo on his left chest in gold and white. Holtz is wearing a white shirt under the coat. At the lower center of the framed display is mounted a gold metal plaque engraved in black with the legend "Presented to Coach Lou Holtz BIG BROTHER OF THE YEAR Catholic Big Brothers of New York Annual Dinner - May 19, 1993". The artist and former Philadelphia Eagles/NFL legend has signed his name in orange paint "T. McDonald" in the lower right corner of the painting. The painting is displayed in a brown and gold wood frame. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
