Presented is the 1977 Arkansas Democrat "Man of the Year" award presented to Lou Holtz. Arkansas' largest daily newspaper presented the award to Holtz after he guided the University of Arkansas football squad to a three-way share of the national championship after upsetting Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl, 31-6. The brown wood plaque features a bronze-colored metal plate engraved in black with the legend "The 30th Annual Arkansas Democrat Award Man of the Year in Arkansas 1977 Lou Holtz". This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
