Presented is a 1972 Peach Bowl Classic recognition award presented to Lou Holtz. The brown wood plaque features a white paper certificate printed in orange and black with the legend "1972 PEACH BOWL CLASSIC in Recognition of Lou Holtz of the North Carolina State University for his participation in this annual classic". In the '72 Peach Bowl, played December 29, 1972 at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in Georgia, Holtz's first NC State Wolfpack squad upset Bobby Bowden's 18th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers 49-13. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
